Adding news to Travel news

To add a news item to Travel news, please use Template:Newsitem. The syntax is as follows:

{{newsitem|News headline|Daynumber Monthname Year|Content of news item}}

Please choose a snappy headline of around 5 words maximum. Capitalize only the first word and any proper nouns, do not add punctuation at the end.

Here is an example of what to enter:

{{newsitem|Paragon Bangkok opens|9 December 2005|Bangkok's largest shopping mall, the immense http://www.siamparagon.co.th/ Siam Paragon opposite Bangkok/Sukhumvit|Siam Square, has opened. The mall also features South-East Asia's largest aquarium.}}

Adding news to Main Page

Here are the steps to follow for adding a Travel news item onto the Main Page.

• the Main Page's Travel News section by clicking here (http://www.ooaj.com/wiki/en/index.php?title=Main_Page&section=15). The content will look like this:

 {{newsleftdivider}}
 {{newsitem|Headline 1|...}}
 
 {{newsmiddivider}}
 {{newsitem|Headline 2|...}}
 
 {{newsleftdivider}}
 {{newsitem|Headline 3|...}}

• Move the first item into the second slot, the second into the third slot, and delete the third one. Do not move the dividers! The end result should look like this:

 {{newsmiddivider}}
 {{newsitem|Headline 1|...}}
 
 {{newsleftdivider}}
 {{newsitem|Headline 2|...}}

• Now add your own item into the empty slot up top, between {{newsleftdivider}} and {{newsmiddivider}}. Please keep the content short and sweet here, no more than two or three sentences — you can add the full version on the main Travel news page.
