The Mount Tallac trail is around a 10 mile hike. It is in the Desolation Wilderness area near Lake Tahoe, on the border between California and Nevada, in the United States of America.

It is strenuous all day (11 hour) hike that is very popular. During the summer time be sure to bring plenty of water. The trail is fairly easy until you pass the two alpine lakes (Fallen Leaf Lake and Cathedral Lake). After that it is a much steeper climb....
