  • Kadampuzha - famous for Bhagavathi temple established by Jagadguru Adi Sankaracharya, in Melmuri village, Tirur taluk. Situated at 3 Km north of Vettichira on NH-17 (Highway) between Kozhikode and Thrissur.
  • Keraladheeswarapuram temple - one among the oldest temple in Keralam, it is 3 kms south of Tanur town.
  • Kodikuthimala - panoramic views of scenic hilltop, it is near Perinthalmanna
  • Kottakkal - famous for Kottakkal Aryavidyasala centre for Ayurveda medicine, 13kms from Malappuram.
  • Kottakunnu - famous for Vettakkorumakan Temple and the Siva temple with murals of Malabar and an old fort built by the Samoothiris (Zamorins) of Kozhikode.
  • Mumburam - a major pilgrimage centre of Muslims, shrine and burial sites of the Thangals (the religious leaders)
  • Padinharekara beach - confluence of the Bharatha Puzha (River Bharatha), the Tirur Puzha (River Tirur) and the Arabian Sea.
  • Pazhayangadi Mosque, Kondotti - Muslims pilgrim centre, 18km east of Manjeri on the way to Malappuram city
  • Tanur - earliest Portuguese settlements, situated 8 kms from Tirur.
  • Thirunavaya - famous for temple on the banks of the Bharathapuzha, and old venue of Mamankam festival.
  • Tirurangadi - famous for Tirurangadi incident on 20th August, 1921, which was the out break of the Mappila Rebellion.
  • Trikandiyur - famous ancient Shiva temple, legend say the temple idol have been installed by Parasurama the mythological creator of Keralam.
  • Valiya Juma Masjid Malappuram - This is an important pilgrim centre of the Muslims of Keralam.
  • Wagon Tragedy Memorial Municipal Town Hall - A standing monument reminiscent of the notorious Wagon Tragedy during the British rule.
