![]() UnderstandThe Creek indians originally lived in the Georgia area. In 1830 Andrew Jackson moved them to Northeastern Oklahoma. The Creek named their new towns after their old ones. Most people are not sure, but Broken Arrow probably came from a town back in Georgia so named because the people would break bamboo in twain in order to make arrows. Or so the theory goes. This was similar to how European immigrants named cities in the United States "Bristol," "Dublin," and "New York." ![]() Get inFrom downtown Tulsa take state highway 51 east. Take 169 to the BA (Broken Arrow) Expressway & turn off on the exit you need to go to. I usually take the 81st Exit & take a left, toward Broken Arrow. There's a lot of shops & stuff nearby. Just Another Hole is also located on 81st. (or in Broken Arrow, 81st becomes Aspen) ![]() Do![]() See

![]() EatVegetarian / vegan food stores There is a very small health food store on 71st east of 161st. It's on the north side of the road. There is also some tofu and other health food in Reasor's, a local chain grocery store. You are better off going into Tulsa for this sort of thing. Subway (there's a few in Broken Arrow) and Quiznos have some vegetarian food. Walmart has an Asian section.. You can get tofu, kimchi, etc there. You can also get other stuff there... Vegetables, fruits, etc.. But, going to Tulsa is better. More selection. ![]() External Links
